6. Ducati Desmosedici RR

The Ducati Desmosedici RR is a limited production road-legal version of the Desmosedici MotoGP racebike. Ducati made 1500 Desmosedicis for public purchase. The bike was launched at the 2006 Italian MotoGP event. The entire 500 units for the United States sold out in five hours.Termed the Desmosedici RR (Racing Replica), it was claimed to be the first true road replica of a MotoGP racing bike. With 989 cc Double L-Twin 4 cylinder Engine and having a Top Speed of 320 Kmph, it is among the fastest Street Legal Motorcycles. Hence a price tag of $72,500US (54,210 Euros) seems most befitting.

5. MV Augusta F4 CC

The fifth most expensive motorcycle we found is the new MV Agusta F4 CC created by Claudio Castiglioni, the motorcycle company’s director. He wanted to create a spectacular motorcycle that met strategic marketing needs while also being something truly special and unique. The expensive motorcycle bearing his very own initials “CC” has a top speed of 315 kph (195 mph), 1078 cc’s and a 198 hp engine. Each bike will boast a platinum plate located near the top of the steering column showing the model number from 1 to 100, making this motorcycle all the more special to its owners. This Italian dream costs 100,000 Euros ($133,745US). Drool-Cool .....

4. MTT Y2K Superbike

Next on our list is the Marine Turbine Technology Turbine Superbike “Y2K” costing $150,000 (111,000 Euros). Not only is this motorcycle expensive, its also extremely fast. The Superbike is the Guinness World Record holder for the “Most Powerful Motorcycle Ever to Enter Series Production”. The turbine engine in this one is made by Rolls Royce and is capable of over 320hp. The motorcycle also boasts carbon fiber fairings, a rear mounted camera with LCD color display, forward-and rear-looking radar detector with laser scrambler, one touch “Smart Start” ignition, and many other cool gadgets. This bike seems to be pretty popular in Hollywood. It starred in the movie “Torque” and even Jay Leno owns one! 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. 0-200 mph in less than 10 seconds. Top Speed of over 250 mph. And it can turn properly also. The Fastest thing on 2-wheels. Scorching Hot ...

3. Macchia Nera Concept Bike

The Macchia Nera Concept Bike is near the top of the list of most expensive motorcycles at 150,000 Euros ($201,000). Built around a Ducati 998RS engine, its Italian designers and engineers set out to create an extremely high tech and expensive motorcycle that would be thought of as “the ultimate track bike” that is “simply beautiful and beautifully simple”. The Testastretta engine is fitted with lightweight metals and alloys like titanium and aluminum making it very lightweight. The view from the side of the Macchia Nera shows exposed belts and engine components, giving its design a minimalist feel while still being aesthetically pleasing. We should add that this bike is a one of a kind and not in produced for retail at this point, but if you have an extra 150,000 Euros ($201,000) laying around for an expensive toy, your dream might come true.

2. Dodge Tomahawk

The second most expensive motorcycle in production will cost you at least $250,000 (186,930 Euros). The production is limited to a few hundred models, so you better place your order. The Dodge Tomahawk V10 superbike boasts 8.3 liter engine (505 cubic inch) borrowed from the Dodge Viper Super Car, and the 10 cylinders can bring the bike to a maximum speed of almost 400 mph. The 1500lb bike has an independent 4 wheel suspension and can reach 60 mph in around 2.5 seconds.

1. ECOSSE Moto Works’ Robb Report Limited Edition Titanium Series Motorcycle

Ecosse Moto Works Limited Edition Titanium is currently the costliest motorcycles in the world. It costs $275,000 (205,615 Euros), which is bit big price for a two wheeler. This motorcycle is made with clear coated carbon fiber bodywork, hand painted tank. This is motorcycle is with a fuel injected, supercharged and inter cooled 2150cc billet motor. The wheels are clearly coated with carbon fiber. The total weight of the bike is 440 lbs.
This Ecosse Heretic Titanium is the most expensive new bike on the market – with a list price that’s the equivalent of £133,000.

The engine is machined from a solid block of billet aluminium and features a race-spec crankshaft, a supercharger, intercooler and fuel injection. From its 2147cc capacity, the pushrod V-twin pumps out some 207bhp and a mighty 218ftlb of torque, or two-and-a-half times as much as a 1000cc superbike can muster.

And incredibly, the engine isn’t even the most exotic part of the bike. That honour goes to the chassis, which appears identical to the standard Ecosse Heretic frame but is hand made from titanium. Titanium is notoriously expensive, as well as being difficult to manipulate and weld – indeed, Ecosse had to ship in specially-qualified titanium welders to turn the exotic material into frames.

The list of exotic parts goes on and on. The brakes are custom-made ISRs, with six pots on each of the radial-mounted calipers. All the bodywork is race-spec carbon fibre, formed in an autoclave, while the wheels, from BST, are made of the same material.

All the lightweight kit helps cut the weight of the bike to 192kg – not a lot considering the sheer size of its engine.

Each of the bikes even comes with a matching BRM chronograph watch, itself worth several thousand pounds, complete with a titanium bezel and an engraved serial number to match the bike.
